Santiago Gibert was born in Barcelona in 1975 and studied Environmental Sciences in Bilbao, Spain and Vlissingen, Holland; six years ago he arrived to Mexico to work as a researcher in Maderas Del Carmen Natural Protected Area, Coahuila. Since his arrival to Mexico he started to combine field research with nature photography and at the moment he has been working with several NGO, private companies and government agencies with one purpose, the conservation of biodiversity. Actually he is a proud member of the International League of Conservation Photographers (ILCP) he has presented his independent work in exhibitions and has been photographing in several countries with the purpose of showing the excellence of nature through its photography. Now is working on documenting the biodiversity of Mexico visiting the most astonishing natural protected areas of the country and is involved in a similar project in Tanzania.
